OSG April 2010 Newsletter

The economy has affected all of us in one way or another, and through hard work and careful planning, OSG will continue to offer and deliver the  highest quality training courses available.  We are fortunate to have some of the best Instructors and Subject Matter Experts in the industry who share the same goals that has always set OSG apart from the others.

As CEO, I want to express my sincere thanks to all of you who have supported OSG in the past years, and hope that you will continue to support us in our efforts to ensure that the men and women who protect this great country will be afforded the opportunity to receive the best training available.

In the coming months, OSG will be promoting several new and exciting courses.  We are in the process of offering an Active Shooter Response Course, Personal Protective Measures Course, Pre-Deployment Tactics Course, and a Personal Security Detail Course.  OSG recently received course certification from CA POST for our Active Shooter Response and Protective Security Detail courses.

We are also researching and developing a specialized officer safety / survival course for law enforcement officers working in an undercover (UC) assignment.

As always, we look forward to hearing from you and welcome your comments and suggestions. As CEO, I am fully commited to keeping Operational Skills Group on the cutting edge of specialized training and providing the best training possible.

What's News

 Chief Executive Officer
Over the past year there have been many positive changes and restructuring of the Operational Skills Group. Such changes include new company ownership, new management and change in personnel. One of the most important changes was the installation of Mr. Robert Ingersoll as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Operational Skills Group. OSG is proud to welcome Mr. Ingersoll as not only CEO but also Senior Instructor and Chief Operations Officer. As a retired police officer, with former military background, as well has having been part of the OSG family for many years, Bob is more than qualified to take the helm. Read more about Mr. Ingersoll

Mr. Ingersoll's philosophy is exactly in step with the OSG mission statement “To Create and Sustain Operational Readiness” by what he calls his “green with green and blue with blue” philosophy. In a nutshell, it’s important to keep the quality and integrity of instruction especially with regards to OSG’s high-profile clientele who expect nothing but the very best. One defining factor is that former military professionals instruct current military professionals, former law-enforcement professionals instruct current law enforcement professionals and former federal agents instruct current federal agents. “We will continue to support our mission with the highest level of instruction available.” He adds “It’s critical to the advancement of the professional training community to keep top-notch qualified personnel working to keep qualified personnel top-notch.” Integrity and the time-tested OSG gold standard are first and foremost in the mind and executive orders of OSG’s  CEO.

 Web Site
After long-overdue re-construction, the OSG website is finally renovated and reflects the latest updates of the organization and its membership. If you haven’t checked it out in a while, take a few minutes and peruse the new site. A hearty “Thank You” goes out to webmaster Faris Sabbah for his outstanding efforts in re-design, internal reconstruction and presentation of the new OSG site. Thanks again Faris!
